††† (Crosses) Announce New Album Featuring Robert Smith & El-P

More than a decade ago, the Deftones leader Chino Moreno started the side project †††, more colloquially known as Crosses, with one of his childhood friends, the former Far guitarist Shaun Lopez. ††† released their debut album Crosses in 2014, and then they went active until the very end of 2021, when they returned with their cover of the Q Lazzarus Silence Of The Lambs jam “Goodbye Horses.” Since then, ††† have released their PERMANENT.RADIENT EP, as well as a version of the George Michael classic “One More Try.” Now, ††† are finally getting ready to unleash their sophomore LP.

Phish Played A Gamehenge Set For The First Time In 30 Years At MSG New Year’s Eve Show

Trey Anastasio’s senior project at Goddard College in 1987 was a song cycle called The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday . The music tells the story of a retired Long Island military man named Colonel Forbin who enters the mythical land of Gamehendge and rescues the Helping Friendly Book from an evil dictator named Wilson. Phish performed some version of the Gamehendge saga several times in the ’80s and ’90s, most recently a July 8, 1994 show that saw official release through Phish’s Dinner And A Movie webcast series in July 2020. Right now, Beck and Phoenix are nearing the end of their co-headlining Summer Odyssey tour , and they’re having some fun with it. The shows typically feature a bit of onstage collaboration from the two headliners. Before the tour started, Beck and Phoenix released their collaborative single “ Odyssey ,” and they played it live for the first time at the tour opener in Seattle. At different shows, Beck, Phoenix leader Thomas Mars, and the various openers have come out onstage at the end of the night to sing different Beck songs together.
